My Captured Beads Technique is on the Pennywise Arts Website!  Woo hoo!   Check it out here:
http://www.pennywisearts.com/capturedbeads.html

This is a really fun and easy technique!  I plan on making a lot more cards like this in the future!

Products: See D's Stamp Set; Black  StazOn Ink; Bird Paper Punch; Pennywise Arts Picture Windows;  Pennywise Arts Micro Beads; Sparkle Black paper, Bazzill Pink cardstock, and 140 lb White Cardstock.

The Picture Windows and Micro Beads can be purchased at www.pennywisearts.com

I am proud to say that this technique was featured in the Technique Junkies Newsletter!  Woo hoo!  It is always a thrill for me to see my own name in print!

I got some wonderful vintage label images today for altered art, scrapbooking, and card making!  I just have to share, so click [HERE] for a free Vintage Label Collage sheet that I put together!

I made my "Bird" ATC's for a swap.  I am happy with how they turned out.  I stamped the bird image with Black StazOn then I colored it in with chalks.  I sprayed the images with Fixatif and then cut them out.

I stamped the background with distress ink and then used green quilling paper to make the branches.  I layered it on bronze cardstock and then onto green faux parchment paper.  I punched the flowers out of pink shimmer cardstock.

I have been using Pennywise Arts micro beads since 2004, so I really don't know why it took me so long to think up this technique!  I regularly use micro beads in just about every piece of art I create and this is just another fun way to incorporate them.  They really become the focal point with this technique.

I worked on some cards.  I created a few Asian themed cards.  I also added some collage style cards to this website.  I need to start working on Thank You cards and more Birthday cards. The following cards (and more!) can be seen [HERE]

How far you go in life depends on you being tender with the young; compassionate with the aged; sympathetic with the striving; and tolerant with the weak. Because someday in your life, you will have been all of these.
